Moscow, July 29 -- A magistrate judge in Moscow fined the social network TikTok 6 million rubles ($73,982) for failing to fulfill its obligations under Russian law for foreign companies, the court told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"By a ruling of the magistrate of judicial district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow, TikTok Pte. Ltd. was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under part 2 of article 13.49 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses. The court imposed an administrative penalty in the form of an administrative fine of 6 million rubles," the court said.
The protocol was compiled for the foreign company's activities in Russia without a representative body in the country, the court added.
