Moscow, Aug. 9 -- Countries with vested interests will do what they can to sabotage the upcoming Russia-US presidential talks in Alaska next week to prolong the Russia-Ukraine war, warned senior Russian Kirill Dmitriev.

Russian President Vladmir Putin's top aide for international economic cooperation and head of Moscow's efforts to normalise relations with Washington, he said that "titanic efforts" - including provocations and disinformation - could be made to derail the talks, reports RT.

The two leaders are due to meet in Alaska on Aug 15, where they will discuss potential settlements to resolve the Kremlin's war in Ukraine.
