Abu Dhabi, Jan. 23 -- Renewing Moscow's conditions for reaching a settlement with Kyiv, Russia has demanded that Ukrainian security forces must immediately withdraw from Donbass, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Friday, calling Ukraine's withdrawal from the region a core, and non-negotiable condition.
"Russia's position is well known: Ukraine and its armed forces must leave Donbass. They must be withdrawn. This is a very important condition," Peskov told reporters, adding that the region had suffered extensive damage during the fighting between the two sides.
