Dharamshala, Oct. 17 -- Women empowerment, promotion of the local economy and cultural preservation by showcasing traditional and nutritious cuisine are the principal aims of the ongoing Rural Flavour Festival at the Dari Mela Ground here in Himachal Pradesh.
The festival was inaugurated yesterday by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Kangra district Vinay Kumar.
Officials described the event as a remarkable collaboration between the administration, community, and SHGs. Similar programmes would be held on a larger scale to enhance training and marketing opportunities for rural women.
