Aizawl, Jan. 15 -- With rubber being projected as one of Mizoram's next big agricultural bets, the state on Thursday stepped up efforts to equip farmers with scientific know-how, as a day-long training programme on modern rubber cultivation and management got underway in Aizawl under the Chief Minister's Rubber Mission.
The programme, focused on scientific cultivation, harvesting techniques, post-harvest handling and pest management, drew rubber growers from across the state. Chief Minister Lalduhoma attended the inaugural session, while Minister for Land Resources, Soil & Water Conservation Lalthansanga was present as the Guest of Honour.
