Bilaspur(HP), Feb. 12 -- Regional Transport Officer Rajesh Kumar Kaushal has urged stage carriage permit holders and vehicle owners included under approved permits on various routes in Bilaspur district to ensure that the special road tax due for defaulting buses/routes is deposited within seven days through the Transport Department's online road tax software.
In a statement, he stated that the department has taken a serious view of the arbitrary behavior of bus operators in not paying the special road tax on time, as well as their continued disregard for the Motor Vehicle Tax Act and Motor Vehicle Rules.
