New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- The Trans-Yamuna Area Development Board (TYADB) on Thursday approved development projects worth nearly Rs 728 crore to boost infrastructure in East Delhi, which is home to almost one-third of the capital's population.
The decisions were taken at a board meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Delhi Secretariat. Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra, TYADB Chairman and MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely, along with other board members, were present.
Rekha Gupta said there would be no shortage of funds for Yamunapar's development and asked officials to prioritise projects based on public needs. She said improving the Trans-Yamuna region is among the Delhi government's top priorities.
