Thiruvananthapuram, March 27 -- Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala today alleged that a massive fraud amounting to nearly Rs 700 crore is being orchestrated within Kerala's Cooperation Department, describing it as potentially the "largest scam" ever witnessed in the sector.
Addressing a press conference at the KPCC office, Chennithala claimed that a project to implement a unified software system for primary cooperative societies-originally awarded to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-has been controversially scrapped and reassigned under questionable circumstances at a significantly inflated cost.
