Hyderabad, March 24 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday informed the Assembly that Rs 3,497.62 crore has been allocated for the 'Mana Ooru-Mana Badi' programme under Phase-I of a major school infrastructure initiative, out of which Rs 2,027.865 crore has been released so far.

In a written reply to questions raised by members during Question Hour, the Chief Minister said a total of 55,336 works have been taken up across 9,149 schools under the programme.

He stated that 22,068 works have been completed so far, accounting for 39.88 per cent of the total works. The total value of works executed stands at Rs. 2,658.743 crore.
