Mumbai, Dec. 1 -- Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut today accused the Fadnavis government of destroying the electoral culture in the state. He alleged that excessive amounts of money are being used in the ongoing local body elections, claiming that Rs 10,000 -15,000 are being offered per vote in what he termed as "Lakshmi Darshan".
Raut, who had been away from public life for some time due to health issues, has now re-entered the political arena.
Although his health has improved significantly, he stated that he still needs some more time for complete recovery. He also added that he has not yet been permitted to travel extensively. If it were possible, I would have toured across Maharashtra, he clarified.
