Bhubaneswar, Jan. 3 -- Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a flagship unit of the Maharatna Steel Conglomerate SAIL, registered a series of remarkable achievements in its key production units in 2025, marking its best-ever performance for any calendar year.
The year also witnessed the commencement of slab casting from Caster-4 of Steel Melting Shop-2 on October 13, 2025. Blast Furnace-5 'Durga' produced 32,39,390 tons of Hot Metal, surpassing its previous best of 30,72,786 tons in 2024. Similarly, Blast Furnace-1 tapped 10,62,722 tons of Hot Metal, achieving an 8.9% growth over the previous year.
