Sao Paulo, March 9 -- Former Barcelona striker Vitor Roque struck in the second half as Palmeiras secured its 27th Paulista title with a 2-1 win at Novorizontino.
Matheus Bianqui cancelled out Murilo Cerqueira's early strike before Roque capitalized on an error from goalkeeper Jordi Almeida to fire in the winner just after the hour on Sunday.
The result gave Palmeiras a 3-1 victory on aggregate after a 1-0 home win in last week's first leg of the final, according to Xinhua.
"Today, being able to contribute, play minutes and score a goal makes me very happy and proud," the 21-year-old Brazil international said.
