Nashik, Feb. 15 -- Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dr. Neelam Gorhe, on Sunday directed authorities to implement comprehensive security measures for women devotees attending the upcoming Kumbh Mela to be held next year at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
Dr. Gorhe was speaking at a review meeting held at the Office of the Special Inspector General of Police, Nashik Range.
The meeting was attended by Special Inspector General of Police Dattatray Karale, Additional Commissioner of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Development Authority Sourish Sahay, senior police officials from Nashik Rural and Nashik City, and other administrative officers.
