Lakhimpur Kheri, March 25 -- A road accident on Wednesday in the Padhua police station area claimed the lives of a mother and her teenage daughter.
According to police reports, the victims, identified as 45-year-old Bhola Devi and her 18-year-old daughter Shivani, residents of Buddhapurwa village, had gone to a bank at Dakherva Chauraha on a scooter. After completing their work, they were returning home when a speeding vehicle hit their scooter.
The impact threw both of them onto the road, after which the same vehicle reportedly ran over them and fled the scene. Both victims died on the spot due to the severity of their injuries.
