New Delhi, April 30 -- Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has been fined 25 percent of his match fee and given one demerit point after being seen using a vape inside the dressing room during an Indian Premier League 2026 match against Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh.
The IPL confirmed the punishment in a statement on Thursday, saying Parag admitted to a Level 1 offence under the league's Code of Conduct, which relates to behaviour that can bring the game into disrepute. The incident happened during Rajasthan's successful run chase, when cameras showed Parag vaping in the dressing room, leading to strong reactions on social media and within the cricket community.
