Buenos Aires, April 27 -- Leader Independiente Rivadavia scored four second-half goals en route to a 5-1 home win over Gimnasia Mendoza in Argentina's Apertura tournament.

The visitors went ahead early through Blas Armoa's strike but Sheyko Studer equalized before Fabrizio Sartori gave the hosts the lead just after halftime on Sunday.

Gimnasia was reduced to 10 men on the hour when Franco Saavedra was shown a straight red card for violent conduct. The hosts capitalized on their numerical advantage with Alex Arce,Leonard Costa and Leonel Bucca adding second-half goals as Alfredo Berti's team secured its 10th win of the campaign.
