Ranchi, Jan. 9 -- In a significant step towards strengthening advanced healthcare services in Jharkhand, approval has been granted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Raj Hospital for conducting kidney transplant procedures.

Licenses for both institutions will be issued shortly, enabling patients to access kidney transplant facilities within the state.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the Advisory Committee constituted under the Human Organ Transplantation Act.
