Prayagraj, Feb. 2 -- The murder of a retired Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID) sub-inspector has sent shock waves in the Lalpur police station area of the Yamunanagar zone in Prayagraj district. The incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.
The Digital Video Recorder (DVR) of the CCTV cameras installed in the house has been seized, though the cameras were found damaged at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Ratan Mishra, a retired CBCID sub-inspector. Injury marks were found on his forehead, indicating a violent attack.
Upon receiving information, Lalpur police and a forensic team reached the spot and began an investigation. The motive behind the murder has not yet been established....
