Hyderabad, Nov. 29 -- A 60-year-old retired bank employee from Malakpet was allegedly duped of Rs 51,23,000 after falling prey to a fraudulent pre-IPO investment scheme run through fake social media advertisements in the name of IIFL Capital.
According to the complaint, the victim came across a Facebook advertisement in early November 2025 claiming profitable pre-IPO investment opportunities.
After clicking the link, he was contacted via WhatsApp by a person identifying himself as Goshan Yadav from IIFL Capital, who promised guidance and high returns on investments.
