Chandigarh, Sept. 13 -- A retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Punjab Police has been receiving threatening calls from gangsters, allegedly linked to notorious criminals Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
Following a 10-month investigation and a directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Ludhiana police have registered an FIR against unidentified individuals at Haibowal police station. Authorities plan to interrogate the named gangsters on production warrants.
Sandeep Sharma, the retired AIG who previously served with the Anti-Drug Special Task Force (STF), reported receiving threatening WhatsApp calls from international numbers.
