Shimla, Feb. 18 -- Taking strong action against a repeat offender involved in narcotics trafficking, the Shimla District Police have detained a habitual drug peddler under the provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.
The accused, Ajit Ram of Fagli Road, Shimla, has been placed under preventive detention for three months to curb his continued involvement in drug-related offences.
