Canberra, Jan. 29 -- Renewable sources of energy supplied more than half of the power to Australia's largest electricity market for the first time in the final quarter of 2025, according to data released on Thursday. The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) said in a report that renewables delivered 51 percent of the overall supply to the National Electricity Market (NEM) in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 46 percent in the final three months of 2024.
