Chennai, Dec. 4 -- The Remnant of Cyclonic Storm Ditwah which has become a Well MarkedLow Pressure Area, has weakened further and became less marked, even as rains continuedto lashChennai and its neighbouring districts today.

After heavy showers battered Chennai and suburbs yesterday, the spells continued today also sincethis morning as several areas in the city and suburbs continued to remain under sheets of waters.

In a latest update, Met office today said the Well Marked Low Pressure area (Remnant of CyclonicStorm Ditwah) over North Tamil Nadu weakened into a Low Pressure Area over the same region andthereafter it became less marked today.
