Chennai, Dec. 2 -- The remnant of Cyclonic Storm Ditwah, which has weakend into a Deep Depressionand further as Depression, still stays closer to the Chennai coast, promising heavy spells in North TamilNadu districts.
The rains have claimed four lives in the State, with two deaths reported due to wall collapse and two ueto electrocution, according to Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran.
With heavy rains like, holiday has been declared for all schools and colleges for the second day tomorrow,while a holiday was declared for schools only for tomorrowin neighbouring Tiruvallur, which was batteredby intense downpour along with Chennai city.
