Chennai, Dec. 2 -- The remnant of Cyclonic Storm Ditwah, which has already weakned as Deep Depression, remained practically stationary at the same region close to Chennai coast and is likely to weaken further into a Depression, even as heavy rains continued to lash Chennai city and neighbouring districts for which a Red Alert was issued that would continue till tomorrow, before abating once the system weakened.
Heavy Rains continue to lash Chennai and neighbouring districts inundating low lying area and the spells will continue tomorrow as Orange Alert has been issued.
