Guwahati, Feb. 25 -- Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday pledged over Rs 50,000 crore investment in Assam over the next five years.

Addressing the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit in Guwahati, Ambani said that RIL's first priority is to make Assam tech-ready and AI-ready.

The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of industry captains and business delegations from foreign countries.

"For us, Assam's digital transformation is a noble and patriotic mission. Jio has made Assam not only 2G-mukt but 5G-yukt," he said.

After building world-class connectivity infrastructure, Ambani said RIL will now install high-performance computing infrastructure.
