Jammu, April 15 -- The registration for 57-day annual Amarnath Yatra started on Wednesday via both online and offline modes.
"The registration for the holy Amarnath Yatra started today," said officials.
They said that this year, the yatra will start on July 3 and conclude on August 28, adding, "To ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has also issued important guidelines."However, long queues were seen at banks on the first day of the registration.
"The registration facility will be available at 554 branches of J&K Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, and Yes Bank across the country," they said.
