Thiruvananthapuram, April 23 -- A series of refinery fires and industrial incidents reported across multiple countries in recent months has sparked concern among experts about potential systemic vulnerabilities in modern energy infrastructure, particularly in the context of rising geopolitical tensions.
Cyber-physical security expert K S Manoj has warned that the clustering of such incidents-while requiring careful verification-cannot be dismissed outright, especially against the backdrop of the Iran-Israel conflict 2026.
