Chennai, May 28 -- Terming the restrictions imposed by the RBI on gold loans as
needless, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Wednesday it
was a blow to the dignity and survival of the poor and the middle class.
In a statement here, the restrictions imposed by the RBI has made it harder for the poor
and the middle class families to access credit with self-respect.
Observing that it was not a mere regulation but a blow to their dignity and survival, Mr Stalin
asked at a time when many were caught in the cruel grip of Loan Sharks and forced into
Loan Apps during times of desperation, is it fair to push them further into those traps instead
of protecting them.
