Colombo, Feb. 16 -- Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has advised opener Abhishek Sharma to show more patience early in his innings after the left-hander endured a second successive failure at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Abhishek was dismissed for a duck during India's emphatic 61-run victory over Pakistan on Sunday, leaving the world's No.1 ranked T20I batter without a run in two innings in the tournament so far.
Despite India's unbeaten start, Shastri said Abhishek's form would be crucial in the later stages of the competition and urged the youngster to spend more time at the crease before playing attacking strokes.
