An 89-year-old woman undergoing treatment on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was allegedly bitten by a rat during the night, sparking outrage among citizens and the patient's family.
The elderly patient, identified as Suhasini Damodar Mathekar (89), was admitted to the hospital on March 12, 2026, due to health complications. As her condition was critical, she was shifted to the ICU on the fourth floor and placed on ventilator support.
