Ranchi, Feb. 2 -- Former Mayor Rama Khalkho on Monday announced her decision to contest the upcoming Ranchi Municipal Corporation elections for the post of Mayor. She made the announcement while addressing a press conference held at her residence.
Khalkho said she is once again seeking the blessings and support of the city's residents. She informed that she will file her nomination papers on February 3 at 12:30 pm.
Recalling her previous tenure, Khalkho said that she was elected Mayor in 2008 with the support and confidence of the people, and during her term she worked with dedication and integrity for public welfare through the Municipal Corporation. She stated that the public has witnessed and experienced her work.
