Srinagar, March 26 -- Ram Navami was celebrated at Raghunath Mandir in Srinagar on Thursday after a gap of 36 years, marking an emotional and significant moment for the Kashmiri Pandit community, with a large number of devotees participating in the celebrations with deep devotion and enthusiasm.

The temple, located along the banks of the Jhelum River in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar city, was illuminated on the festival. Devotees gathered in large numbers as temple bells resonated, vedic chants filled the air and havan rituals were performed, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Historically, this festival was among the biggest celebrations in Srinagar prior to the 1990s, reflecting the rich cultural and spiritual legacy of Kashmir.
