Mumbai, March 5 -- The Rajya Sabha elections from Maharashtra will be held unopposed, as candidates from major parties filed their nomination papers on the last day of submission on Thursday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Mahayuti fielded four candidates - Ramdas Athawale, Vinod Tawde, Maya Waghmare and Ramrao Wadkute. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde nominated party spokesperson Jyoti Waghmare.
From the Nationalist Congress Party faction led by Ajit Pawar, Parth Pawar filed his nomination, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance nominated veteran leader Sharad Pawar.
