Thiruvananthapuram, March 24 -- The nomination of Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar in the State Assembly elections has been temporarily withheld after allegations surfaced that he failed to fully disclose his assets in the affidavit submitted along with his nomination papers.
The controversy arose after a complaint was filed alleging that a high-value property in Bengaluru was not included in the asset declaration. According to the complainants, the omission involves a prime property located in a highly valuable area, and the failure to disclose it constitutes a serious violation of election norms governing transparency in candidates' financial disclosures.
