Jaisalmer, May 9 -- The district administration of Jaisalmer issued guidelines on Friday, which include closure of all markets by 5 pm and a blackout from 6 pm to 6 am.
This came in view of the prevailing tension along the border following the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir and subsequent Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army.
The district administration has tightened security measures in Jaisalmer.
During the blackout period, all types of lights will be switched off, and movement of all vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, will be strictly prohibited. The administration has also prohibited movement within a five-kilometer radius of the army area.
