Jaipur, Aug. 7 -- Striving to live up to the motto of sensitive and good governance and zero tolerance for corruption and indiscipline, the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led government has terminated the service of nine police inspectors for "indolence, inefficient and dissatisfactory discharge of duty".

Chief Minister Sharma reviewed and disposed of 37 cases pending for approval for prosecution on proceedings pending under section 17A of the Prevention of the Corruption Act.

"Sharma has also taken action based reports of inquiry and investigation at different levels against 55 officers," an official release stated.
