Chandigarh, May 6 -- Rainfall accompanied by hailstorms continued to bring relief from heat across Haryana for the third consecutive day, with the India Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for multiple districts. The impact of a western disturbance has led to a noticeable drop in both day and night temperatures across the state.
According to official data, the maximum temperature in Haryana has fallen by nearly 5.9degC below normal, while the minimum temperature remained around 3.4degC below average. Rohtak recorded one of the lowest night temperatures at 17.6degC. The weather department, along with Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), has warned of rain and thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
