Hyderabad, Oct. 29 -- Ministry of Railways has sanctioned the proposal for upgradation of the electric traction system between Guntur - Pagidipalli and Motumari - Vishnupuram sections over the next three years at an estimated cost of around Rs 188.31 Crore.

This was stated by South Central Railway (SCR) Chief Public Relations Officer A.Sridhar in a release here today.

The release has quoted Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Electronics & Information Technology as observing that this section Pagidipalli-Guntur and Vishnupuram - Motumari works as an alternate route between Secunderabad and Vijaywada.
