Begusarai, Nov. 2 -- A curious spectacle unfolded when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in his rare and symbolic outreach, today waded into a tranquil pond in Begusarai to join local fishermen in their traditional practice of catching fish.
Shortly after addressing an election rally in support of Congress candidates in the region, Rahul Gandhi accompanied by Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) president Mukesh Sahani, famous as "Son of Mallah", Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar and Begusarai Sadar candidate Amita Bhushan, travelled about three kilometres to a nearby pond, where preparations had been underway since morning.
