Sultanpur, Feb. 20 -- Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before the MP/MLA court in Sultanpur on Friday in connection with a defamation case filed over his alleged remarks against union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to his counsel, Kashi Shukla, Gandhi denied all allegations during his statement recorded under Section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code. He told the court that the case had been filed out of political malice and lacked any substantive basis.
