Puri, Dec. 4 -- The Puri district administration on Thursday demolished four houses and a shop belonging to an alleged woman drug dealer as part of an intensified crackdown on narcotics under the ongoing "Operation Chakra" initiative.
Superintendent of Police Pratik Singh said the demolition was carried out in the presence of a magistrate and police personnel.
The accused, Sukanti Panda, who faces four NDPS cases related to the sale of brown sugar, is currently lodged in jail.
According to police, Panda had constructed the houses by encroaching on government land in Nilachakra Nagar near Atharnulla in Puri town.
