Puri, Dec. 17 -- The Puri district administration has demolished the house of an absconding drug dealer as part of its drive against illegal encroachments on government land.

According to official sources, Tiki Khan and his mother-in-law, Sukanti Panda, are accused in several cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. While Sukanti Panda is currently lodged in Puri jail, Tiki Khan has been evading arrest.

The accused had constructed houses at Nilachakra Nagar by encroaching on government land. Following the initiation of a case in the Tahasildar court, the district administration received a demolition order.
