Mumbai, Feb. 14 -- Punjabi film actress Himanshi Khurana has allegedly received a threatening telephone call demanding Rs 10 crore, with the caller said to be gangster Zeeshan Akhtar. The incident came to light in Mumbai on Saturday, raising concerns within the film industry and prompting a police inquiry.

According to sources, the caller demanded Rs 10 crore from the actress as extortion money.

Zeeshan Akhtar's name has reportedly surfaced earlier as a wanted accused in the murder case of Baba Siddique. Investigators are examining whether the alleged threat is linked to ongoing criminal rivalries.
