Chandigarh, April 30 -- Senior leader of Punjab's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Malvinder Singh Kang on Wednesday hit out at Union Minister Ravneet Bittu, asking whether he backed Punjab on the water issue and why he was "so concerned" about providing water to Haryana. Kang also asked BJP leader Bittu why he was upset when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann spoke about his state's right over its water. He suggested that instead of targeting Punjab, Bittu should advise Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to use their water resources more efficiently, as the neighbouring state has already received its due share of water.He pointed out that Punjab itself faces a shortage of water and questioned how it could supply more water to Haryana....
