Phagwara, April 16 -- A deadly road accident involving two heavy trucks disrupted vehicular traffic on the Phagwara-Jalandhar NH for over an hour on Wednesday morning. One person was killed and another seriously injured in the collision, which occurred near the Chiherru bridge.
According to police sources, the incident took place when a Jalandhar-bound fruit-laden truck reportedly jumped over the central highway divider and collided head-on with a stone-laden truck coming from the opposite direction.
