Chandigarh, Nov. 26 -- The Punjab government has finalised its official holiday calendar for the year 2026. The list has been issued by the Department of Personnel, outlining public holidays that will apply to government offices, municipal bodies, administrative departments, and all government-run educational institutions across the state.
The notification confirms that schools, colleges and other state departments will remain closed on designated festivals and national holidays throughout the year. It also highlights that during May, two official holidays will be observed, leading to the full closure of educational and government institutions.
