Chandigarh, Feb. 8 -- In a major push to eliminate organized crime and gang-related activities, the Punjab Police is set to initiate 'Operation Prahar 2.0' starting at 8:00 am on Monday, February 9. The intensive statewide crackdown will span 72 hours, involving over 12,000 police personnel will be deployed across various districts to apprehend wanted criminals and disrupt illicit networks.

Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh on Sunday, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated that the primary objective of this mission is to make Punjab a gangster-free and crime-free state.
