Chandigarh, Dec. 23 -- Punjab Police have recorded major successes in their ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking, with two significant recoveries of heroin in separate drone-linked operations near the international border in Amritsar district, officials said.

In the first case, Amritsar Rural Police recovered eight kilograms of heroin along with a drone from agricultural fields near the village of Neshta under the jurisdiction of Gharinda police station. The operation was carried out as part of a sustained anti-narcotics drive under the supervision of senior police officers.
