Chandigarh, Sept. 21 -- Continuing the war against drugs "Yudh Nashian Virudh" waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the drug menace from the state consecutively for the 204th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 374 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 89 drug smugglers.
The police also registered 78 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 30,440 in 204 days.
The raids today have resulted in recovery of 4.5 kg heroin, 2.3 kg ganja, 1524 intoxicant tablets/capsules and Rs 59,810 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.
